Bartkira, the animated trailer

Ryan Humphrey and James Harvey's Bartkira project is finally an animation! The call for animators for the Bartkira trailer went out in November 2014 and the completed trailer, produced by Kaitlin Sullivan, features the work of 31 individual animators.

The trailer brilliantly captures the feel of those very early seasons of The Simpsons with the look and tone of those Japanimation trailers we used to sit through in the days of VHS. The choice of Simpsons characters to fill the roles couldn't be more perfect (keep an eye out for the Crazy Cat Lady) and the attention to detail is sure delight fans of both animations. An especially lovely touch is Gracie Studios being replaced by Mr Sparkle with the message "Please don't sue us" in Japanese.
