Add some kaijū to your kimono with Tōhō Kaijū Netsuke

Figure company Chara-Ani began releasing its Tōhō Kaijū Netsuke line this last February which already includes 3 Ultraman and 3 Godzilla series kaijū. Beginning in June, another 7 Godzilla series netsuke will be released.

Each netsuke comes in a wooden box with a wooden tag bearing the name of the kaijū. Though the netsuke themselves are made from polyurethane, they're meant to imitate antique ivory and some have been given the look of having inset glass eyes. While it's not clear from the pictures if all these netsuke are functional (ie. can be strung on a cord) or are just netsuke-like in style, I'm sure any savvy hobbyist could easily manage boring a hole.

Each netsuke retails for ￥10,800 and can be backordered or preordered from AmiAmi for betwen 5-15% off, although some preorder lists have already filled up.
